My way into the digitalized and globalized working world
Project Concept
The Erasmus+ Project „My way into the digitalized and globalized working world“ is a two-year program that started in October 2018. Due to the Corona pandemic, the project has been extended for one year. During the project there will be a digital and personal exchange between the partner schools from Germany, Italy and France on project tasks.
Project Idea
The main idea is to prepare the students in cooperation with our European partner schools for a of life long learning process regarding the challenges of digitalization and globalization.
A way into the working world
After finishing school many students want to find an apprenticeship or a vocational training program. Today more tan ever they need to be prepared for the rapid changes of the business world. Digitalization, automatization and globalization are big challenges for companies as well as for employees. Being familiar with new developments and technologies can provide employees with better opportunities for career advancement.
Challenges due to digitalization
It is decisive for companies to adapt quickly to new technological developments in a competitive market. The actual profiles of professions are changing, too. Our students have to be prepared for a lifelong learning process in the upcoming digital revolution, in which companies from all over Europe can be connected in a digitalized value chain. The digitalized global market requires flexible actions and altering cooperation and communication. In the project we foster 21st century skills by using modern teaching and learning methods.
How does the Project prepare the students for their way into the digitalized and globalized working world?
The project 'My way into the digitalized and globalized working world' sensitizes students to the challenges of the working world 4.0. They discover how quickly local and global companies have to adapt to new technical and methodological developments. In doing so, they focus on digitization processes in different sectors. In the next step, the students investigate what effects the changed processes have on job profiles in the sectors. The students research results on the Internet and prepare for contacts with companies, institutions and employees in small groups. The students create digital results and publish them in our online journal "MY WAY". Current developments such as sustainable business and entrepreneurship will also be part of the project. In the project, the teachers are working on new concepts for business cooperation and digital learning. The goal here is to adapt and design career orientation in line with the changing times. This production process must be planned and evaluated. Agile project management methods are used, which promote the key competence 'lifelong learning.
Concept of the project
During the Erasmus+ project there will be a digital exchange between the partner schools on project tasks.
There will be three international learning events where students and teachers can collaborate in person. Topics are for example: changing of business processes and professional profiles, the chances of the dual vocational training system and career opportunities fostered by the EU.
In the project we develop national and international career contacts and work experiences for students.
The students create an online-journal presenting the results of the project.
